Kevin Iwashina CAPE Secretary, Managing Partner, Preferred Content
Kevin Iwashina joined Hunting Lane Films, a film, television and digital production company, in October 2008. Iwashina is responsible for the financing and distribution of Hunting Lane Films’ original productions. In addition, he represents third parties to secure financing and distribution for their filmed entertainment properties.
Prior to Hunting Lane Films, Mr. Iwashina spent 10 years as an agent at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he specialized in the packaging, financing and distribution of filmed entertainment content. Individual projects for which he arranged financing and distribution include the Academy Award winning film CRASH, the indie cult hit DONNIE DARKO and Helen Hunt’s directorial debut THEN SHE FOUND ME. Talent clients included Gil Kenan (CITY OF EMBER), Gabriele Muccino (SEVEN POUNDS), Netflix and the independent film icons John Waters and Christine Vachon.
Iwashina holds a B.A. in English Literature from U.C.L.A. He is a sought
after speaker for various events and conferences, including the annual Sundance Producers Conference. He began his career in the mailroom at United Talent Agency.
