Leo Chu  Creator and Executive Producer, "Supah Ninjas" Nickelodeon

Leo Chu is a prolific creator, writer, and producer of groundbreaking television and feature films.

He is currently the creator, executive producer, and showrunner of the hit live-action series SUPAH NINJAS for Nickelodeon, which is the #1 show in its time period for boys and the first series on television to feature an Asian American family in 16 years.

Leo made his mark as the Emmy-nominated writer, executive producer, and showrunner of the critically-acclaimed animé series AFRO SAMURAI starring Samuel L. Jackson on Spike TV. He expanded the franchise by writing and executive producing the television movie event AFRO SAMURAI: RESURRECTION also starring Lucy Liu, which made history as the first animé to ever win a Primetime Emmy Award.

Previously, Leo was the Vice President of Creative Affairs for Walt Disney Feature Animation and was responsible for developing and producing such Academy Award-winning films as Pixar’s FINDING NEMO and Miyazaki’s SPIRITED AWAY. Other films include Disney’s MULAN, LILO & STITCH, TARZAN, BROTHER BEAR, DINOSAUR, and MEET THE ROBINSONS as well as Pixar’s TOY STORY and MONSTER’S INC.

Leo is a graduate of Stanford University and one of Entertainment Weekly’s “Top 10 Most Influential Minorities in Entertainment.”
