CAPE End-of-the-Year Fundraising Campaign

Dear CAPE Members and Supporters,

As 2012 comes to a close, we wanted to thank everyone for their support of CAPE’s mission, our programs, and our community. Your sponsorship, membership dues, and donations help support our mission – to advance diversity in the entertainment and media industries.

CAPE is the most respected and effective non-profit diversity organization in Hollywood. We create positive change by nurturing talent through our educational programs and panels, forming long-lasting strategic partnerships with all the major networks and studios, and promoting the fantastic achievement of AAPI writers, directors, actors, producers, and executives.

Through our programs, we introduce the studios and networks to up-and-coming AAPI talent. The CAPE New Writers Awards, now in its 12th season, has landed numerous writers on TV writing staffs and launched feature film careers for many others. The CAPE TV Pitch Lab has helped writers sell their TV pilots to the networks.  And our Casting Workshops with CBS and ABC (and soon other networks) ensure the Hollywood casting community knows more AAPI actors – several participants have landed guest star and recurring roles directly as a result of our workshops. Our programs work —  the proof is on TV and in film.

We champion AAPI role models in film, television, and digital in so many ways. This year, we hosted a special pre-release screening of LIFE OF PI, directed by CAPE Advisory Council Member Ang Lee. We showcased one of TV’s most recognizable talents and role models, our own Board Member Carrie Ann Inaba, in an intimate and moving conversation in our “An Evening With” series.

Our popular networking mixers are a way for talent and executives to connect and help each other in a fun, positive, and supportive environment. If you made it to the CAPE Celebrity Poker Tournament, you’ll know we also throw one of the most festive and glamorous holiday parties in town. And membership to CAPE also got you free screenings, discounts, and information about invaluable educational resources and opportunities.

Jennifer and her staff do an amazing job running our programs to ensure that our members and sponsors maximize the benefit being part of CAPE. But it takes financial resources to do all that we do.  This year, we have fallen short of our fundraising goals.  We would like to ask you to consider making a tax-deductible donation to CAPE now to ensure the same level of quality programs for 2013.

Please use the buttons below to make a donation to CAPE. Your donation will ensure that we can provide all of the programs and events you expect.*
