NBC’s midseason series “Chicago PD” has cast Archie Kao to play Jin, who’s in charge of tech and surveillance at the CPD Intelligence Unit in the “Chicago Fire” spinoff.
Kao, best known for his role as lab technician Archie Johnson on CSI from 2001-2012, most recently wrapped the Michael Mann-directed CYBER and stars in the upcoming LOVE SPEAKS and THE DEATHDAY PARTY, a genre film for theatrical release through China Film Group.
LINSANITY which premiered at Sundance, will launch in select cities this fall across the country. The film follows Harvard star Jeremy Lin as he enters the National Basketball Association, comes off the bench, and makes history.

CAPE Board Member Dan Lin and writer Jill Gordon sell a mystery family dramedy to Bravo. Gordon‘s story centers on an eccentric New England family that decides to take justice into its own hands when its matriarch is murdered. When the murderer is freed on a technicality, they decide to hunt down the killer together, as a family. Gordon is executive producing with Lin Pictures’ Jennifer Gwartz and Lin.
Before he starred in “Community” and HANGOVER comedic genius Ken Jeong was, and still is, a licensed physician. NBC has ordered the multi-camera sitcom “Dr. Ken” based on his life before the he went into comedy.
Feature comedy writer Jared Stern (THE INTERNSHIP) is writing the project, from “Community” producer Sony Pictures TV and John Davis and John Fox’s studio-based Davis Entertainment. Stern, Davis and Fox executive produce, with Jeong co-executive producing.
Jeong has an M.D. degree at the University of North Carolina and completed an internal medicine residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He is a licensed physician in the state of California.

Mehta, the former COO at NBCUniversal, will be overseeing digital media and global TV distribution, coordinate content distribution across all platforms, and oversee planning and business development.
He will be reporting to Twentieth Century Fox Film CEO Jim Gianopulos.

TNT has ordered 10 episodes of Steven Bochco‘s “Murder in the First”. Congratulations to Ian Anthony Dale who will be joining Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson, Tom Felton, Mimi Kirkland, Raphael Sbarge, Bess Rous, and Steven Weber in the drama set in San Francisco.
Co-created by Bochco and Eric Lodal, the story centers on two homicide detectives played by Diggs and Robertson and their murder investigations. Sbarge plays a fellow cop and they are supervised by their lieutenant, played by Dale.
“Murder in the First” is slated to premiere in summer 2014.
