Congratulations to the 2013 CAPE Fellows Ted Chung, Cara Fasone, Valen Hernandez, Allyssa Lee, Franklin jin Rho, Tania Lotia, Tristan Thai and Thomas Wong on their successful completion of the CAPE New Writers Fellowship!
A graduation ceremony was held in their honor at the Spoonful Restaurant. CAPE Board and staff and CNWF sponsors NBC Universal, Warner Bros., and Verizon were in attendance to witness the event.
The fellows each received a $1,500 cash stipend, a copy of Final Draft screenwriting software, and a CNWF certificate of completion.

CAPE Advisor Dean Devlin and Martin Scorsese will executive produce THE WANNABE. The film is set in the early 1990s in New York City, and it follows a man and his obsession with mob culture. The obsession leads him on a failed attempt to fix the jury in the trial of John Gotti.
The film stars Patricia Arquette, Vincent Piazza, Michael Imperioli, Vincenzo Amato, David Zayas, Neal Huff, Mike Starr, and Slaine.

CAPE Advisor David Henry Hwang‘s “Kung Fu” will star Cole Horibe as Bruce Lee and will premiere in February 2014. The Off-Broadway production will begin performances February 4 at The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center.
“Kung Fu” follows Bruce Lee’s life in America as he struggles to prove himself as a fighter, a husband, a father and a man.

CAPE congratulates Rex Lee on his new multi-camera comedy pilot “Young & Hungry.” Lee will play Elliott, a metrosexual and high-strung publicisit/right-hand-man. Rounding out the cast will be Jonathan Sadowski, Emily Osment, and Aimee Carrero.
Kollaboration Star is coming to historic Pasadena Civic this November. Come watch a talent showcase by six of the most talented Asian American acts in North America. This year’s Kollaboration Star includes 6 finalists who are winners from various Kollaboration 2013 showcases. They were voted on by the public out of 13 city winners to compete for a $20,000 grand prize and title of Kollaboration Star.
