TIANNA MAJUMDAR-LANGHAM & CHRIS BESSOUNIAN

Tianna and Chris are writer duo and are the Co-Executive Producers on Season Eight of S.W.A.T. They are also developing a fish out of water legal procedural revolving around a public defender in Boise, Idaho, THE JUSTICE FACTORY, with John Wells Productions and Warner Brothers Television. They previously wrote and produced on Fox’s hit medical series, THE RESIDENT, for all six seasons and co-wrote the episode, “IF NOT NOW, WHEN?” about racial bias in healthcare and the U.S. maternal mortality crisis, won a Sentinel Award from USC’s Norman Lear Center and Hollywood, Health and Society.

Tianna and Chris are also ACADEMY NICHOLL FELLOWSHIP winners with their screenplay, GUNS AND SARIS, which Freida Pinto is producing and Leena Yadav is attached to direct. It is also a WGA Feature Access Project Honoree and selected for the CAPE List, curated by The Black List and CAPE.

A Swiss/Italian film Tianna co-wrote, IL NIDO, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival. It had its U.S. premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival where it was nominated for an Anti-Defamation League Stand Up Award and played in theaters and aired on TV throughout Europe.

Tianna is British and Indian and raised in the U.K. and U.S. Chris was born in Sudan to Egyptian/Armenian parents and raised in Australia. They share an 8 year old daughter and have four passports between them (American, British, Australian, Indian).
