Creative Executive, Perfect Storm Entertainment

Eric Hsiao currently serves as Creative Executive at Justin Lin's Perfect Storm Entertainment, the production company behind such films and series as F9: The Fast Saga, Star Trek Beyond, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and HBO Max’s Warrior, where he has collaborated on the development of projects set up at studios including Universal, Paramount, Sony, Netflix, and Participant.

Eric also oversees Perfect Storm’s partnership with the Beijing-based studio CMC Pictures (The Meg) to develop and produce a slate of feature films, ranging from Chinese-language projects to English-language content for a global audience.

Additionally, Eric serves as jury member and mentor to aspiring screenwriters from underrepresented backgrounds for WeScreenplay’s Diverse Voices Lab and works as a script consultant for the online platform Stage 32, where he provides development guidance for spec screenplays, pilots, and pitches.

Eric got his start as an assistant and agent trainee at United Talent Agency after graduating from New York University’s MBA/MFA dual-degree creative producing program. As a student, Eric produced short films that were selected to the Austin, Chicago, and Tallgrass film festivals, as well as a feature film that was distributed by Echo Bridge Home Entertainment. A native of the Bay Area, Eric holds BAs in Mass Communications and Sociology from University of California - Berkeley.
